Mrs. Lynn Hudak has ten years of public school experience that she brings to Mother Catherine Academy. In 2006, she received her Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) where she studied trumpet and voice. While at IUP, she participated in many ensembles including marching band, jazz band and symphonic band. During this time, she was active with the Drum Corps International (DCI) marching with the Patriots, Bluecoats, and Glassmen. In 2013, Mrs. Hudak received her Master of Music Education from Shenandoah Conservatory in Virginia. Her graduate project focused on teaching rhythm in an ensemble setting. Mrs. Hudak’s passion is for teaching band and strings. She knows that a strong foundation in general music sets students up for success in their chosen ensemble. A native of Vermilion, Ohio, Mrs. Hudak attended St. Mary’s Catholic School. She is very proud of her Catholic education and is excited to be giving back to Catholic schools and the Church. Mrs. Hudak and her family are parishioners of Immaculate Conception Church in Mechanicsville. At home, she enjoys cooking and growing organic food. Mrs. Hudak also enjoys spending time with her husband and children, camping and hiking. She cheers for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins and enjoys watching NASCAR.
